TRANSFORMING SHEN, 化神, YUAN SHEN
It was shown that the flow of maintainng energy passes from Xin shen, Pure Mind Shen, 心神, by way of the Transforming Shen, 化神, Yuan shen, to the Masculine Principle, Hun, 魂, the expression of the programs from the Feminine Principle.
This Transforming Shen, 化神, Yuan shen, produces two important forces of transformation:
1. The Paradigm of the extension of the Life Force into the External World
This consists of a pattern for the extension of the Life Force Survival from its source, the apparent True Self, to the External Environment that supports every form of life.
Remembering that it really is one expanding force that is balanced and without particular focus, we can in the model show this expansion as a single four- element Driving Force for Survival.
1. The Paradigm of the Life Force Expression as Apparent True Self.
2. The Reproduction of Species, as Offspring growing and developing.
3. The Survival advantage of Tribe Survival.
4. The Survival advantage of a Correct Environment.
This Driving Force has as its catalyst the Essence that is named as Observing, which in Chan Dharma we refer to as the True Self.
2. The Paradigm for the Hun, 魂, division into criteria for the later Comparison-with- Cognition operation.
Remember also that this is one energy force that prepares the differentiation for Hun.
It consists of an expanding force that sets up Survival Attitude and terminates with the criteria for Efferent Survival Action:
1. Survival Attitude
2. Survival Intention
3. Preparation of Final Intention for Action
4. Survival Action
These two energies form within Hun the criterion for control, which consists of just sixteen points within the survival criteria (Survival Expansion [4] by Efferent Survival Action [4]). This Survival group has as its, catalyst the Individail Life energy of Function.
But remember that there is a second transformation this time between Hun, 魂, and Po 魄 (Cognitive Consciousness).
REXIN, 热心, TRANSFORMING ZEAL
It was also shown that the flow of maintainng energy passes from Hun the Masculine Principle, the expression of the programs from the Feminine Principle by way of the Transforming Zeal, 热心, Rexin, to Po 魄 (Cognitive Consciousness).
This Transforming Zeal, 热心, Rexin, also produces two important forces of transformation.
1. Remembering that it really is one expanding force that is balanced and without particular focus, we can in the model show this expansion as a single four-element Driving Force for that allows clear Conscious Experiences of its presence while the Sublime States remain undiscovered.
1. Awe which is related to the natural apparent external world
2. Rapture which is related to Tribal Union
3. Bliss which is related to survival and development of Offspring
4. Well-being, the constant living experience of the apparent individual
This has as a catalyst the same Essence, True Self, and Observing without an Observer.
2. The second force of natural flow has the Clear Comprehension of Form that is within the Undifferentited Form, right hemisphere group, as the catalyst.
It has four divisions which can be experienced within contemplation.
1. Clear Comprehension without content.
2. Vacuity
3. Impermanance
4. Unity
It is these four which with contemplation are held as a constant Presence with the related four Sublime States.
These two are followed in the series by a further Transformation which is related to the Effective behavior that stems from Cognition, allowing Cognitive Consciousness to be transformed into action with the apparent external world, which we know as Samsara.
That Transformation is called Ji ji Xing, which is the motivating force for the response to any stimulus in the Samsaric World under Heaven,
Tiān xià, 天下, and also has two elements.
TRANSFORMING MOTIVATION, JI JI XING
The first force of natural flow within this transformation which is mundane has the True Self of Essence that is Observing as its catalyst.
It has four divisions which are essential for correct behavior:
1. Initiative
2. Determination
3. Perseverance
4. Correct Final Energy in Action
The second force is derived from the incoming information consisting of Sensation, Discrimination, Perception and Cognition.
It is manifested as the Cognitive experiences which are tranformed and
used in the computation of correct final actions.
1. Elaborated Sensation
2. Elaborated Discrimination
3. Refined Perception of Name and Form
4. Cognitive response solution
Completing the cycle, Information from the apparent external world is returned by way of the senses to the system as new irritation.
