THE GLORIOUS COMING HOME ON THE NATURAL PATH

                                                         COMING HOME

We must here declare plainly that the path of coming home is a glorious journey, but it is not at all easy. If you believe that all you have to do is use now this intelligent mind that you believe that you have inherited as Homo sapiens, then you are mistaken.

This mind that you have is an abomination.

Nature gave man, and of course woman, the capacity to be perhaps its greatest defender of evolution, the wise guardian of the diversity of life.

Legend declares that there was the apple of wisdom upon the tree that Eve discovered. I'm afraid that is not exactly the truth.

What Eve discovered was a black box which when touched declared clearly, "Under no circumstances open this box unless you are a Sage."

The problem was that Eve had no idea what a Sage was and anyway there was no padlock on the box.

So she opened it. Inside was a loaded pistol, its chamber full with six bullets.

She was very curious.

She looked down the little hole and pulled the trigger to see what would happen.

She didn't know that that first bullet that entered the left side of her brain was named "words and concepts." Now she knew that the thing was called a pistol and she loved all those words she could now use. So she walked over to Adam and shot him also in his left hemisphere.

Naturally they sat down and talked for a long time. Together, with a little insistence from Eve, they decided to try a second shot.

They both had a hole in their heads, and they didn't want to make another hole, for they had now decided that "being beautiful," a new concept, was important.

So they each shot a second bullet through the same hole.

The second bullet had a name which at the moment they didn't know. It was Duality. Now everything made sense. Everything had two parts... There was her part and his part.

Eve wanted to use the last two bullets for herself, but now Adam had a new dual idea. It was that there was a Boss and a non-boss, namely, an obedient woman.

But he now knew that there was "being fair and not being fair," so he took the pistol and shot the last two bullets through the same hole in each one.

They had no idea, of course, that those last two bullets were marked "Identity."

They were delighted, so they kicked Nature out of their garden and began to name all the animals, so that they knew which ones they could now kill. They named all the plants so that they could differentiate among them and then sell them at different prices to their neighbors depending on their rarity.

This Identity and Duality suited them fine. They screwed all they wanted without the least idea why and invented a thousand and one things to desire and crave.

They suffered, but decided that that was quite natural and worth the perks.

They began to get scientific and wondered about the pistol.

Then they discovered that there were no more bullets.

They went back to the box to see if there was another pistol, or at least more bullets. There was nothing there except a small transparent glass bottle.

It was marked clearly, "Dharma Antidote for those who suffer from the symptoms of Duality and Identity."

Eve wanted to keep it in case it was worth something, but Adam, as the Boss, decided to throw it over a nearby cliff onto the rocks below and destroy it.

He threw it far out. It turned over and over, and finally fell among the rocks.

What they did not know was that Nature had made an indestructible bottle.

It fell among the rocks and was forgotten. So Adam and Eve went on in their now ugly little Garden, for they had no time to correctly tend it.

That of course was fourteen thousand years ago, more or less.

Their descendants argued and debated thousands of years later whether the bottle was really a bottle at all or an apple core, or a holy grail, or a sacred philosopher's stone. They searched and never found it.

Some illustrious figures found or invented other little bottles of different colors which they insisted contained a magic potion, but although millions used the potion, which made them at least feel holy, they did not become Ordinary.

Now, in this age of Great Disaster, we have in our possession the original bottle which a sage actually found and opened and the antidote flowed into the world.

The only problem was, that it is difficult to see and terrible to swallow.

I think it is rather like Natto. But when you take it with great difficulty you find that it is indeed an antidote. Today it is called Buddha Dharma, but few like its taste. They want something more palatable.

So some intelligent fools diluted it, much too much, and called it Buddhism.

The intelligent human creatures, without natural intelligence at all, dilute it further and call it with Sinatra's attractive and seductive name, "My Way."

The acquisitive human creatures dilute it with the gloriously attractive Freddy Mercury potion, "I want it All and I want it Now."

The sensitive but confused human creatures can't decide what "My way" is and are afraid of taking any, in case "All" is too much and "Now" is too soon.

Only the brave dare who have the full knowledge that it is not at all easy, but that in this life anything that is worthwhile takes Energy, Dedication, Calmness, Patience, Determination, and Perseverance together with Introspection and Free Critical Enquiry.

The question is:

Are you one who dares to become an "Ordinary Man?"

Are you one who dares to become an "Ordinary Woman?"
