  Lankavatara Sutra: Sutra of the Appearance of the Good Doctrine

   Bodhiruchi      ~ 5th century

o  moved from Northern India to China

o       leader of a translation centre of over 700 monks

o       translated 30 scriptures in 101 fascicles in 30 years including:

§       Dashabhumika Sutra Shastra: Treatise on the Sutra of the Ten Stages, 12 fascicles in 508-535 A.D.

§       Lankavatara Sutra: Sutra of the Appearance of the Good Doctrine in (Sri) Lanka, 10 fascicles in 513 A.D.

 

Prajnaruchi

o       Braham in Central India moved to China

o  Translated 18 scriptures in 92 fascicles

§       Saddharmasmrity Upasthana Sutra, Sutra of Stability in Contemplation of the True Law, 70 fascicles in 538-543 A.D.
