7. WHAT IS THIS DHARMA THAT IS RECEIVED?

This becomes a much more difficult question to answer, for we must remember that the Uncarved wood, this Pure Mind, cannot (except through evolution) be amended by a deterioration of its state or an increment in its state. So what can be received?

If we consider that the Dharma imparted is the essential programs of survival (four) and that from this Pure Mind, in the Right Hemisphere, Pure Awareness, Pure Function, Pure Essence (Sensory Awareness), Undifferentiated Form and Pure Mindfulness have been developed, then we must ask what is it that the Pure Mind might require.

The answer is the reinforcement of a feedback that declares that what is presented as Dharma to the Masculine principle as expression, and to Cognition as a comparator, is effective. We must also remember that the system is essentially other-directed, so the souce of this information is the external unknown world.

What has been directed to this internal/external milieu is the survival base for Correct Attitudes, Correct Intentions and the Correct Readiness to Respond. Knowing that the internal system is functioning correctly does not serve as an adequate feedback mechanism for the Pure Mind, therefore we must look to some interface with the external world.

We find, if we examine what happens here, that accompanying these three sets of information (which are internal) is the base of Correct and Natural Survival of Self, Tribe, Offspring, and the Environment which supports these. Accompanying these four are the experiences of Gladness, Compassion, Benevolent Affect and Equanimity.

Of these four only one has a possibility as a useful mechanism, and that is GLADNESS, for you will remember that Gladness is the experence of being Glad when others are Glad (in a natural and correct way).

In other words, when the left hemisphere cognitive system captures Gladness that is correct and natural from any source, then the apparent observer experiences Gladness.

That Gladness is indeed the Dharma that the Pure Mind receives. It maintains the strength of the Pure Mind. We must remember that this Gladness has an Identity imitator, but this fraud does not have the internal characteristics to act as a Dharma Reinforcer of the Pure Mind.

The left-hemispere source is Cognition when that cognitive experience of external Gladness is compared to the criteria of the Masculine Principle of Correct expression. It is then that the Experience of Gladness is communicated to the Pure Mind.

It probably has been easy to see the importance of True Compassion, Benevolent Affect and Equanimity to the human creature as experiences reflecting correct operation. Now it can be more easily seen that Gladness has paramount importance. The perceived Gladness of others that is natural promotes response that in turn permits the arousal of internal Gladness as a cognitive experience.
