THE ESSENCE OF ESSENCE

 AS SENSORY AWARENESS OF SENSORY AWARENESS

 

 

We showed as a model the Function of Function which generates a threefold response in the Right Hemisphere. This three-fold response as a result of correct Contemplation was:

1. Feedback communicating correct external natural survival behavior to the Buddha Nature, the Uncarved Wood, which then continues with force and vigor.

2. Reinforcement of Communication Shén by way of innervating the Energy Force.

3. Innervating the Essence factor with which it communicates.

This innervation of the Essence factor allows the Essence to continue in its own threefold path and it is never fully extinguished. However, it remains weak and without effective communication with the left hemisphere. Yet this fact that it is never extinguished allows the rekindling of the energy through Contemplation.

The Contemplation for the Essence Factor is the Contemplation known as the cultivation of the Sensory Awareness of Sensory Awareness.

                                      SENSORY AWARENESS

You will, no doubt, recall the model of the mirror which we presented in which this Sensory Awareness was the transformation upon the face of Pure Mindfulness. 

Remember that the Pure Mindfulness, like the Pure Awareness, has no content, so that there is never a Pure Mindfulness OF anything, and that it simply sets out the Sensory Awareness.

Now this Sensory Awareness, which might as well be termed Sensory Mindfulness, is just the act of SENSING and is also without content.

This sensing is indeed the base for the first Cognitive stage of Sensation which is enmeshed within the process of Attention which consits of Repose, Alertion, Capture, Fixing and finally One-pointedness.

But this Sensing which we speak of here is a signal to the right hemisphere that the mechanism of the six senses is functioning correctly, no more. What may be later sensed is not transmitted, and so it may be termed as PURE.

The contemplation that is the Last Conceptualization, then, is upon this Pure Sensory Awareness and begins as is the norm in Contemplation with the usual establishment of access by means of mindfulness of the rise and fall of breath and the generation of the Defensive Qi, which involves an efficient plan of "organization" that has clear instructions present for an efficient subliminal act of recuperation of the final SENSORY EXPERIENCE, which may be then received by the mundane consciousness.

The correct and exhaustive generation of what we term the Contemplation Device (CD), in separate sessions, must also be made and it is this Device that is the topic of importance here.

                               THE LAST CONCEPTUALIZATION

While the most simple and last Cognitive conceptualization of Gladness and/or the last conceptualization of the Cognitive Experience is the device for the Function of Function, it is Pure Awareness of Sensation, that is, SENSING without content, that is the last conceptualization here.

It, of course, depending upon the aptitude of the adept, may be a Reflection (Vitakka) in which the most simple word description is compiled and held in the Becoming of Consciousness or it may be the Cognitive Experience (Vicara).

Vitakka Construction

The mistake that many make here is in overestimating their abiliity and as a result trying to elicit this Cognitive Experience, which is evasive. The consequence then may be a constant cul-de-sac or the Identity may invent an Experience.

Far better it is to start with the Vitakka construction, which we have declared will be developed as a CD in separate sessions like Pre-programmation, apart from the Contemplation itself.

Vicara Generation

If one has access by Vitakka then one remains dwelling within the Cognitive Experience of Pure Sensing without expectation or haste and with a pervading Joy until one falls into the area of the unconscious where the subliminal Experience, the language so to speak of the unconscious, generates the true Experience. 

Perhaps the most efficient way of generating the Last Conceptualization of the Cognitive experience is to set the Contemplation Device in the following manner, which then directly elicits the following chain:

Cognition having been silenced, one then allows all forms and names to fall away.

Then allow all Discriminations of affect, disaffect, and neutrality to fall away along with the corresponding experiences of affect, disaffect and equanimity

Then allow all sensations to fall away and dwell within Sensing alone, in and of itself without content.

This true experience that is subliminal is not detected by consciousness, but it may be seen within consciousness by way of the pre-preparation of the discernment which can be programmed to be transmitted to memory and retrieved in a stained state from memory. The most effective elimination of Identity possible is therefore essential.

This, however, serves no purpose and is only a guide to the assisting master. The real benefit arises from the reinforcement of the high valence for the Pure Sensory process within the right hemisphere.

                                      THE THREE STAGES            

This Contemplation in reinforcing the internal process of Essence has also three internal stages, which may be entered by the meditator depending upon his or her temperament.

1. The receiving of the "all is functioning well" message for the six senses.

2. The innervation of corrective signals to the left hemisphere, purifying SENSATION, experienced rather like a fluttering.

3. The separation of the six (all as one) into the five senses and "thinking."

This thinking which we call the "awareness of the mind," then effectively becomes the other "Pure Identity," the Self which Buddha spoke of as valid. 

This self, however, acts not as an "observer," but simply generates "observing" and is an unconscious experience used by the system.

It is this observing that is later in the left hemisphere converted by perception into an OBSERVER which becomes adulterated as the "I" producing "me" and "mine."

This final stage also naturally serves to innervate the next element, which is that of Undifferentiated Form.
