9.  THE AVAIVARTIKA CONCLUSION

Without the base of Wisdom and the clear emphasis upon Mercy or True Compassion and Benevolent Affect, the Kabbalah would not be akin at all to Avaivartika, although its  Contemplation of the last conceptualization of Jehova is, if not Identical, similar to the Contemplations advocated in early Buddha Dharma, which was later developed in Chan into more advanced contemplations with the natural link with Dao.

Avaivartika emphasizes the aspects of correct behavior within stained Samsara and this too is identical to the Column of Intelligence in the Kabbalah model.

That both have been turned into mere social intellectual custom and have lost the relation to more profound understanding does not demean the value of the base.

While we consider Avaivartika a principal step towards a liberation through the Bhumi meditations and contemplations Chan Dao carries its own Contemplations too with the emphasis upon Function, Essence and Undifferentiated Form. These Contemplations make available access to the Undifferentiated Light or the Uncarved Wood.

This examination of Kabbalah serves as a means of understanding the deeper Jewish thought about their God Jehova and allows us to see that although there may be in further elaborations of the Kabbalah elements with which we are not in accord there is sufficient similarity in the basic objectives and understanding that permits a greater respect of the Jewish practices and the culture.
