6. WHAT IS THIS DHARMA THAT IS THEN EXPOUNDED?

Once you eliminate the idea that the pure mind is a super-intelligent operation that is rather like a subconscious intelligence that can solve all problems you can proceed.

Lln-chi declared,

The pure light of your mind in a single moment of thought is the reality body of Buddha in your own house. The non-discriminating light of your mind in a single moment of thought is the reward body of Buddha in your own house. The non-differentiated light of your mind in a single moment of thought is the projection body of Buddha in your own house.

The Dharmakāya ("truth body" or "reality body") is a central idea in Mahayana Buddhism, forming part of the Trikaya doctrine that was possibly first expounded in the Aṣṭasāhasrikā prajñā-pāramitā (The Perfection of Insight In Eight Thousand Verses), composed in the 1st century BCE. It constitutes the unmanifested, "inconceivable"  aspect of a Buddha, out of which Buddhas –and indeed all "phenomena" (dharmas)– arise, and to which they return after their dissolution.

The Sambhoga-kaya ("reward body") is based on the concept of blessings and wisdom. A Bodhisattva attains a transcendental state

There are two kinds of Sambhoga-kaya:

This is a selfless, pure, spiritual experience, not to be confused with sensual pleasures or emotions.

The Form Body (Rupakaya) or the Manifestation Body or Transformation Body (Nirmanakaya) is the living embodiment of wisdom, compassion, happiness and freedom.

The Manifestation Body (i.e. Nirmana-kaya) of the Buddha is the purely transcendental nature of the Form Body (i.e. Rupakaya).

Let me then make this clearer, for it is easy to become confused with all these terms.

First there is the pure light of your mind in a single moment of thought and it is the moment when all phenomena come into being as illusion.

The next is the light of your mind in a single moment of thought which  presents the ability to certify and teach the Dharma.

The final is the light of your mind in a single moment of thought which is the emergence of your mind as the living embodiment of wisdom, compassion, happiness and freedom.

This makes it appear that the pure mind expounds the presence of your being (and in fact all phenomena) as a being of illusion.

It suggests that it also expounds the certainty of the Truth of Natural Dharma and teaches it and finally transmits to cognition wisdom, compassion, happiness and freedom.

But do not fall into the trap of believing that that is what the pure mind actually expounds. These are actually end products, expressions of the Feminine Principle. What is expounded is far more subtle and marvelous.

Linji warned us about the trap. He declared; "These three embodiments are names, words, and they are three kinds of dependence".

So, if we go more profoundly beyond the names and words, what do we discover? When the pure mind is liberated what then is the Dharma transmitted?

The answer is the basic criteria for survival, which is captured by way of Shen and then expressed by the Masculine Principle.

This basic criteria sets the pattern requirements fot correct and natural attitude, intentions and the readiness to respond to four different Survival Paradigms; self, tribe, offspring and the environment which supports these.

The correlated experiences are the four sublime states of Gladness, True Compassion, Benevolent Affect and Equanimity, the fruit of the Transformation Body (Nirmanakaya).
