THE AWAKENING TO THE LIFE FORCE, YUAN QI (JING)
After a great deal of introspection I decided to place , in this first place in the
web page, the truth about this Awakening that spiritual freaks are always
talking about, without the slightest idea of what they are saying and teaching or the damage they are doing.
So let us begin by stating what Buddha declared often, and is repeated elsewhere in this page, that this Experience of Awakening, in and of itself, is not worth a damned thing. In and of itself it accomplishes nothing.
Its only significance is that it signals that what was necessary to accomplish has been accomplished.
That means:
That the Emptiness of Function (Function of Function) has been disclosed and experienced and liberation from stains accomplished.
That the Emptiness of Essence (Sensory Awareness of Sensory Awareness) has been disclosed and experienced and liberation from stains accomplished.
That Emptiness of Undifferentiated Form (Emptiness of Emptiness) has been disclosed and experienced and liberation from stains accomplished.
This opens the way to the final contemplations of Pure Awareness and Pure Mindfulness.
This Pure Awareness and Pure Mindfulness are expressions of Yuan qi.
Yuan qi is the Energy of Life that is transformed from the Energy of the Universe.
It generates a Pure Awareness of Being, without content.
It generates a Pure Mindfulness of Doing, without content.
Normally we are Aware of "Something," either mental of physical, but this is only the fruit of Pure Awareness, not Pure Awareness itself.

When the Emptiness of Function (Function of Function), Emptiness of Essence (Sensory Awareness of Sensory Awareness) and the Emptiness of Undifferentiated Form (Emptiness of Emptiness) have been disclosed and experienced, then the way is open for the final contemplations.
But the road to these three Emptiness accomplishments is arduous and includes, apart from Meditation that brings the freedom from Dissonance, the generation of Initiative, Determination an Perseverance, that leads to the final Respone Action, through the Avaivartika Generosity.
Furthermore, since most of those who take first glance at Buddha Dharm are enmeshed in the pride of their own intellect or firmly entrenched in the love, work and play of Samsara, without the impulse to start a new life, then the Contemplations of Rexin and Yuan shen are essential prerequisites, as well as daily vigilence.
We said that Yuan qi , sometimes called jing, "essence"
精, is the Energy of Life that is transformed from the Energy of the Universe.
It generates a Pure Awareness of Being, without content.
It generates a Pure Mindfulness of Doing, without content.
But its physiological "purpose" is the development of Xin shen, which is the Feminine Principle, Pure Mind Shen, 心神 (right hemisphere feminine principle), To Do, which governs all natural programs for a balanced and harmoneous survival.
But this Life Force sends a stream of maintenance energy, Zhen Qi, called True Qi, throughout the natural system which is experienced as Equanimity, Compassion, Benevolent Affect and Gladness.
MAINTENANCE ENERGY ZHEN QI, 真炁,(TRUE QI)
THE CARRIER OF TRANSFORMING SHEN
Zhen Qi, 真炁, (True Qi) which it is said in Chinese medicine, originates in the chest
and is generated when Yuan Qi acts upon Kong QI, 空气, Energy derived from Air intake.
It is that same Zhen Qi (True Qi) that circulates in the energy meridians and nourishes the organs of the body, being distributed there by respiration.
IT is distributed throughout the body by respiration and is then a composite of Ying Qi, 阴气, (Nutritive Energy) & Wei Qi, 围气, Defensive Energy.
This is the carrier of Transforming Shen, 化神, the transforming force, which communicates with Hun, 魂 (left hemisphere masculine principle), Xin Shen's
心神, Expression Doing.
This carrier continues and is the catalyst, for Transforming Rexin, 热心, the transforming Zeal, which communicates with Po, 魄 (Cognitive Consciousness), ,for the computation of Intentions from Attitude, and action Readiness, and forJi ji Xing, which is the motivating force for the response for any stimulae.
MOTIVATION, JI LI, 激励, CONTEMPLATIONS
So let this be clear advice. If you are looking for an easy path to Awakening, forget it. Awakening has little impportance.
It is the Path to that Awakening that has the only recompense of allowing the destruction of the Identity and Duality Viruses and the revitalization of the Attributes of the True Human Creature.
If you are up to that and can see that your valued intellect must be cast out, if you see that wingeing and looking for an end to Suffering is imposible while it exists as an Identity goal, and if you see that intellectual indifference and confusion that allows the continued clinging and craving to the appearences of samsara, then you can proceed with cconfidence if you have sincerity and diligence.
If not, then look for the thousands of band-aid practices that cover the superficial scratches of civilization or invest your folly in the great farces of New Age Dhrma revelations, that play with Dharma words while covering the sexual and grasping impulses with Cinderellas pretty cape, which disguises the wolves beneath.
